On Saturday, 29th November, come do your Christmas shopping at the bookshop and from12-4pm, benefit from our skilled team of gift-wrappers to turn your purchase into the perfect gift, ready to go under the tree! Donations are gladly accepted to our partner charity, Driftwood. Driftwood is an Anglo-Swiss charity, funding small, high-impact projects in Nepal. The collaboration with the bookshop will help fund school books for the girls at Pal Ewam Namgyal Monastic Nunnery School, and braille/story books for Nepal’s Disabled School Association.

Come to the bookshop on Saturday 13th December from 12-4pm to enjoy a fresh pastry, hand-baked by our skilled bookshop team! We are promising mince pies, but also some Swiss variations for those who find mince pies a bit much. We’ve been putting our heads together to make this a bookish Christmas for you and have come up with book subscriptions. We are offering book subscriptions for either 6 or twelve months, picked up from the shop or delivered to your door quarterly. Please visit this page for more information. We are increasingly getting contacted for Books from Abroad from people who don’t live in Lausanne but wish to buy books for your friends or relatives in Switzerland. If this is you, then please contact us. We will be happy to send you a quote and expected delivery time for books you would like if we don’t have them in stock. We wrap books and add a personal message at no extra charge. Once the books are here we will send you a credit card payment link. And, if all else fails, there are always the faithful Gift Certificate. We offer gift certificates in any denomination you would like. The cards have no expiry date and can be used for any of the books we have in stock, or for book orders.
